Jose Calixto Ortega

Jose Calixto Ortega, age 83, born in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on November 4, 2024. Mr. Ortega is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Alicia Ortega; children, Olga Jurado and husband, Enrique, Graciela Alvidrez and husband, Jose Albino, Veronica Reyes and husband, Anthony, Jose A. Ortega, and Luis A. Ortega; twenty-four grandchildren and, twenty-four great-grandchildren; siblings, Miguel Ortega and wife, Rosa, Raul Ortega and wife Maria de Jesus, Ofelia Valles and husband, Juan Hector, and Catalina Moreno and husband, Victor Leonel. He was preceded in death by his son, Jorge Ortega. A Visitation for Mr. Ortega will be held  Monday, November 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive SW. A Final Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, with the burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be, Enrique Jurado, Jose Albino Alvidrez, Jose A. Ortega, Luis A. Ortega, Edgar Herrera, and Juan A. Alvarado.
