Josefa A. Sarracino (Fita), age 100, resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, July 13, 2017, with her family by her side. Mrs. Sarracino is survived by her son, Mario Sarracino; granddaughter, Jaylene Sarracino and husband, Corey Wright; sisters, Rachel Lujan, Rosario Chavez and husband, Ray; great-grandchildren, Mario Sarracino, Tatiana Sarracino, Majalene Wright, Julian Wright; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Sarracino was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mario Sarracino and grandson, David Sarracino. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors. Dr. SW. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW; with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Sarracino was a veteran of World War II, a member of the 999th WAC group in Bolling Field, D.C., a charter member of the G. I. Forum and a member of the Catholic Daughters. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests contributions and donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Sacred Heart Church.
