Juanita Jaramillo, age 99, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on May 7, 2024. Juanita is survived by her children, Manuel Jaramillo Jr and wife, Judy, Ari Cervantes, Michael Jaramillo and wife, Irene, Debi Jaramillo, Danny Jaramillo and wife, Vera, Frances Guerrero, Bobbie Jaramillo; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren her sisters, Sister Barbara Padilla, Pauline Duran, and Elena Duncan; sisters in-law, Tomasita Jaramillo, Trini Martinez; many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Manuel Jaramillo Sr., and parents, Teodoro, and Barbarita Padilla; and eight siblings. Mrs. Jaramillo was a devout Catholic and worked faithfully in the Catholic Church since she was eight years old with Las Hijas de Maria until she was sixteen. She went on to devote her time to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Madres Cristianos, Legion of Mary, First Mayordomos bringing the Matachines of Bernalillo to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was active in the cursillos, and involved with the youth group, St. Vincent de Paul Society, as well as being a part of the parish senior group, and working the annual parish fiestas. Special thank you to the following caregivers, Michelle Morales, Marcella Espinosa, Annette Abreu, Helen Trujillo, and Samantha Bradford. The Jaramillo family is truly thankful for the care you provided their mom. Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW at 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. A Reception will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Pallbearers will be Andres Jaramillo, Richard Cordero Sr., Anthony Jaramillo, Michael Jaramillo, Christopher Jaramillo, Julian Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Padilla, Carlos Sandoval, Ramon Padilla.
