Julia Martel Smith age, 84, Born in Trinidad, The West Indies and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico is survived by her son, Timothy Simonson and wife, Mattie, daughter, Nanci Woods, son Stephen M. Simonson; grandchildren, Timmy, Julian, Justin, and Johnnie (JT), Daniel (DJ), Bryan, Megan, and Alexis; great-grandchild, Jaedon, Aminah, Ava Lynn; brother, Camillo “Baba” Martel, brother, Edmund Martel and wife, Dianne, sister, Wendy Labriola, brother, Stephen Martel and wife, Christine; nieces and nephews, John, Jelia, Stephen, Sharon, Mark, Antonia, Joseph, Anna, and Stephen. She was preceded in death by her father, Camillo Martel, mother Mabel Simpson and son in law, Johnnie L. Woods Jr. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church 5415 Fortuna Rd NW on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 9:45 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will follow the Rosary, at 11:00 a.m. Abbott Joel Garner presiding. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE following the services. Pallbearers will be, JT Woods, DJ Woods, Bryan Simonson, Megan Simonson, Stephen Simonson, Timothy Simonson.
