Julia Martinez, age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her children, Rosemary Martinez, Sammy Martinez and wife, Jeanne, and Ramona Martinez; sister, Nadine (Lola) Padilla; brother, David Armijo Jr. and wife, Rachel; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her husband, Bon Martinez; son, Elias Martinez; daughter, Theresa Martinez; and grandson, Alan Martinez. Visitation was Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW a Rosary was recited at 9:00 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Private disposition will take place at a later date.
