Lionel Montoya

Lionel Montoya, age 63, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on October 9, 2024. Mr. Montoya is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Ramona Montoya; mother in-law, Dorothy Flores, sister Maria Flores-Garcia; brothers, Julian Flores and husband, John Nooney, and Fabian Flores and wife Barbara; nieces and nephew, Teresa Chavez and husband, Al, and Katharina Flores, Herman Garcia; seven great nieces and nephews ; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends. Mr. Montoya was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Montoya, father John Montoya, and brother Gary Montoya. Mr. Montoya loved his God, his family, and his country. He was very patriotic. He retired from the City of Albuquerque after twenty-five years. Visitation will be held at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be, Julian Flores, Fabian Flores, Herman Garcia, Al Chavez, Jesus Chavez, Chris Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louie Peralta and Luis Ralphalito Padilla and Leo Gonzales. .
