Louis Romero

Captain Louis Patrick Romero (Ret.), age 84, born in Tucumcari, New Mexico and a long-time resident of Bosque Farms, New Mexico, was called home on November 24, 2021. Mr. Romero is survived by his children, Scott Hetrick and wife, Tammie, Jerry Hetrick, Dorian K. Romero Morris and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Taylor Hetrick, Sydnee Renee Hetrick, and Carissa Hetrick; nieces and nephews, Barbara, Diane, Joni and husband, Alex, and Ron; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Hernandez, and father and mother, Louis and Caroline A. Romero. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Louis also proudly served his community and retired as Captain from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department. Pallbearers will be Scott Hetrick, Stephen Morris, Taylor Hetrick, Julian Cordova, Ron Hernandez, Jerry Hetrick. Honorary Pallbearer will be Alex Gonzales. Visitation will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00am at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town, Interment pending.
