Luis Garcia

Luis D. Garcia, age 75, born in Las Vegas, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 with his family by his side.  Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Margaret Garcia; children, Marsha Garcia, Luis Garcia Jr. and wife, Ana; grandchildren, Sara Shoemate and husband, James, Alexandra Garcia, Roman Arrellin, Mario Garcia; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Ella; sister, Monica Smriga; aunt, Lala Sena and husband, Joe; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many good friends.  Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrio and Ramona Garcia; grandparents, Luis and Estefanita Aragon; sister, Dora Gallegos; in-laws, Andy and Esther Madrid.  Mr. Garcia belonged to the Knights of Columbus, volunteered as a money counter at Holy Family Catholic Church.  He was extra ordinary minister of Holy Communion and also volunteered at the Hispanic Cultural Center. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
