Margaret Chavez

Margaret C. Chavez, age 73, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018.  Mrs. Chavez is survived by her beloved husband, Henry Chavez; son, Mario Chavez; daughter, Angela Aragon and husband, Vince; brother, Benjamin Chavez; granddaughter, Sarah Chavez; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Elvira; sister, Mary Stella Barela; brothers, Robert and Paul and her son, Daniel.  The family would like to offer a special thanks to her sister-in-law, Dolores Chavez and the staff at Presbyterian Hospice for all their love and care for Margaret.  Margaret graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1963.  She was an avid bowler and race car driver as well as a member of the Route 66 Rodders and the Over the Hill Gang.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Inurnment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
