Ernestine Chavez

Maria “Ernestine” Chavez, age 80, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 6, 2023. Ernestine is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Miguel Chavez; daughter, Victoria R. Chavez; two brothers, Rudy Lujan and wife, Cecilia, Jerry Lujan and wife, Davida; nieces, and nephews, Anna Lujan, David Lujan, Patricia Lujan, Christopher Lujan, Michelle Weidauer and husband, Dave, Antonio Lujan and wife, Maria, Arlo Lujan and wife, Shontelle, Monica Atencio and husband, Marcos, Pablo Lujan and wife, Jeanne, Erik Lujan and wife, Kaylene, Amanda Fuertes and husband, Phillip, and Francesca Lujan; many grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Audra; parents, Perfecto and Rosauda Ida Lujan; brothers, Frankie Lujan and Michael Lujan and nephew Frank Leo Lujan. A Visitation will be held Wednsday, June 14, 2023 from 2:00pm-3:00pm in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel. A Final Visitation will take place on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 9:30am with a Memorial Service to follow 10:00am in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive Sw, with burial to take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe St in Santa Fe, New Mexico at 12:30pm.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Rudy Lujan, Jerry Lujan, David Lujan, Christopher Lujan, Antonio Lujan, Arlo Lujan, Pablo Lujan, and Erik Lujan.
