Maria Rita Baca

Maria “Rita” Baca, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025. Rita was preceded in death by mama and papa, Jose Miguel and Paulita Baca and four brothers, Juan, Joe, Richie and Robert. She is survived by her sisters, Soila Baca and Elena Robinson and brother, Ray Baca and Grace. Rita was a very good cook and would love cooking meals for her family and friends, especially for the holidays. She loved to read and write, often writing articles for the Albuquerque Journal Newspaper. She loved to knit and crochet often entering her crafts at the New Mexico State Fair and always winning Blue Ribbons. Rita will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, Godchildren, cousins, and many friends and family, including her extended family Bill, her “hito”, and Ted Parnall and their family. We would like to thank our family friend, Bory Pena for lovingly taking care of Rita, also nurse Christine and the staff at Ambercare Hospice for their caring and kindness.
