Mark Martinez

Mark Elbert Martinez age 78, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a resident of Casa Blanca, New Mexico passed away surrounded by many loved ones on July 30, 2021. Mark married the love of his life, Emily (Towne) Martinez on October 15, 1966. He is survived by his children; Eugene Martinez and wife, Ronette, Dianne Martinez, Ernestine Martinez, Valerie Martin and husband, Thomas; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Elden Martinez, Beverly Martinez, Lurlene Garcia, Emily Thomas. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lita Martinez; brother Edmund L. Martinez; nephew Ryan Garcia. Mr. Martinez served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. After his service to his country, he went on the serve thirty years as a law enforcement officer within Indian Country. The Wake for Mr. Martinez will be held at the Laguna Acoma Baptist Church 1564 State Rd 124, Cubero, NM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Laguna Acoma Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Casa Blanca Cemetery I-40 exit 108, N 0.6 mi to Indian Service Road 24 (dirt road) along S edge of RR. Pallbearers will be, Eugene Martinez, Chad Tsosie, Marcus Chee, Isaiah Martinez, Thomas Martin lll, Elden Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Gloria Chee, Ronette Martinez, Merissa Martinez.
