ROMERO, MARTIN L., age 14, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and a friend to so many, passed away peacefully, the night of January 30, 2014 with his family at his side. Martin is survived by his parents, John and Cindy Romero; brother, James Romero; grandparents, Joe and Anna Hernandez and Vivian Romero. Martin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia G. Romero. Martin's passions were playing baseball, hunting, fishing, skiing, and was an avid fan of the Isotopes, Dodgers, Lakers and Raiders, and being with his family. He was a dedicated altar server at Church of the Ascension. He made his parents very proud. Martin is now praying for all those children that are suffering from an incurable disease. We will miss you forever. We LOVE you Martin, Dad, Mom and brother. Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. Final visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.Father Edmund Savilla, presider. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his Teammates and Coaches from Rio Grande High School and South Valley Little League.
