Mary Lou Duran, age 71,  born in Los Alamos, raised in Old Town and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, October 07, 2016. Mrs. Duran is survived by her husband of fifty years, Gilbert; two daughters, Elizabeth Apodaca and John Bloomfield, Nadine Duran and John Chavez; two sisters, Theresa Gutierrez, Kathy Torrez and husband, Porfie; two brothers, Alex Gutierrez and wife, Carolann, Wilfred Gutierrez; three grandchildren, Angelica Apodaca Stanley and husband, Ryan, Ronnie Apodaca, Jonnae Chavez; one great-grandchild, on the way; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Duran was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Rose Gutierrez and brother, Gilbert Gutierrez Jr.  Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza in Old Town with  Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.. Final visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. A Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be John Chavez, Ronnie Apodaca, Ryan Stanley, Pete Chavez Porfie Torrez, Michael Duran Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bloomfield, Nikkie Duran, Eloy Duran Jr., Eric Torrez, Mark Gutierrez.
