Mary Otero

Mary C. Otero (Nani), age 90, born in Valencia, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 with her loving family by her side.  Mrs. Otero is survived by her children, Salo Otero  and wife, JoAnn of Laredo, Texas, Kathy Lopez, MaryAlice Burch and husband, James, daughter-in-law, Ruth Otero; brother, Orlando Armijo, grandchildren, Paul Perea, Matthew Otero and wife, Hoang Anh, Laura Otero and Ernie, Michael Otero and Rosa, Kevin Perea and wife, Shelly, Melanie Garcia and husband, Jose, Maria-Elena Otero, Athena Burch, Randy Lopez, and Chris Lopez; great-grandchildren, Kevin Ray Perea Jr. and wife, Jayme, Joshua Perea and fiancé, Desi, Julian Perea, Elisha Padilla and husband, Noah, Sara Howard, Nico Otero, Gabriel Otero, Kiara Sanchez, Mika Sanchez, Alan Otero, Andrew Otero, Christopher Lopez; great-great-grandchildren, Daniel, Nevaeh, Lillyana, Mia Catalina, Simon, and Ziggy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Otero was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Salome J. Otero; sons, Leroi Otero and David Otero. She was a loving mother and nani and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:00 a.m.  A communion service will be held at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Paul Perea, Matthew Otero, Michael Otero, Kevin Perea, Kevin Ray Perea Jr. and Joshua Perea.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Anne Catholic Church.
