Mary Esther Salazar, age 92, born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 21, 2021. She is survived by her children, Jose Manuel Salazar, and Maria G. Salazar; sister, Gloria Griego; brothers, Alex Sandoval, Rey Sandoval, Raymond Sandoval; Eight-grandchildren; Ten- great-grandchildren, and One on the way; along with many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mrs. Salazar is preceded in death by her parents, Benito Sandoval and Barbara Sandoval; and stepfather, Manuel Sandoval; husband, Jose F. Salazar II; son, Jose F. Salazar III; sisters, Alice Garcia, Cecilia Moya, Mary Sandoval, and Rose Barela; granddaughter Desiree Salazar; and grandson, Jose F. Salazar IV (Joey). A Public Visitation for Mrs. Salazar will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 5:30pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm all to be held in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive SW 87121. A Mass will take place the following day Friday, January 14, 2022, at 9:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr SW, 87105. Pallbearers for the Funeral Mass will be Jeremy Salazar-Kent, Ariana Salazar-Kent, Melissa Salazar-Aragon, Marlena Salazar, Michelle Montez, Danai Montez, Jade Chavez, and Angel Chavez. Pallbearers for the Internment will be Daniel Chavez Sr., Daniel Chavez Jr., Alex Sandoval, Josh Thorp, Rick Sandoval, and Santiago Archuleta.
