Mary Lee Torrez, age 89, born in Valencia, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, with her family by her side. Mrs. Torrez is survived by her children, Jesse Torres and wife, Bessie, Manuel Torrez Jr., Rita Martinez and husband, Michael, Barbara Ashleigh - Phear and husband, David; grandchildren, Jesse Torres Jr. and wife, Elaine, Stephanie Gallegos and husband, Patrick, Manuel Torrez III, Mary E. Torrez, Julian Ashleigh - Phear, Nicholas Martinez; five grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Torrez was preceded in death by husband, Manuel Torrez; son, Phil Torrez; brother, Jose Martinez; sisters, Veronica Martinez and Sally Ramirez. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. A Committal Service is scheduled at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 9:45 a.m. Pallbearers will be Stephanie Gallegos, Mary Torrez, Julian Ashleigh - Phear, Nicholas Martinez, Patrick Gallegos, and Ricardo Abeyta.
