Melinda Chavez

Melinda C. ANTONIA Chavez, age 95, born in Agua Fria, New Mexico, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away September 28, 2017. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her four daughters, Tillie Garcia and husband, Carmen, Theresa Tapia and husband, Larry, Frances Cruz and husband, Eddie, Angela Sanchez; daughter in law, June Chavez; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Cleotilde Romero; husband, Eugenio Chavez; sons, Carlos Gene Chavez, Pablo Abel Chavez; sister, Ida Lujan. Mrs. Chavez was a lifelong member of the Catholic church and a member of the Sacred Heart League. With deep gratitude to BeeHive Staff for their sincere and unwavering high quality of care, THANK YOU. Visitation will be Monday, October 2, 2017, from 6:15 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited by the family at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. S.W. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Tapia ll, Carlos Cruz, Mark Anthony Sanchez, Francisco Chavez, Michael Ross Sanchez, Carlos E. Chavez; Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Cruz, Rudy Jaramillo, Rudy Lujan, Jerry Lujan, Bob Gonzales, Maximus Jiron, Mark Sanchez Jr.
