December 9, 2022 the world lost a great lady. As strong and feisty at 90 as she was at 70. She moved rail road ties by herself. When asked how she did it she would only reply with a point to her head and say"magic". She was magic. She outlived all of her friends minus Kim and I and a handful of others. Her love of nature was pure. Her love of dogs was abundant. She was an advocate for all rescued animals. With zero regard for the risks, She fed the coyotes and wild bears at her mountain home for fifty years. She would send birthday and Christmas cards with hand written notes, and always deliver chocolate cakes. When a controversial topic arose she would politely say, "No Comment." Whoever says you can't choose your family is wrong. Mitsue was family and we loved her. Rest in peace our dear friend and Obaachan, Mitsue Eden Longfellow.
