Piedad Apodaca, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away May 10, 2016. Mrs. Apodaca is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Jose C.; daughters, Cecilia Shultz, and Naomi Underwood and husband, Don; grandchildren, Cecilia Rivera and fiance,  Michael Cadena, and Mariah Barnes and husband, Christopher Barnes; great-grandchildren, Anthony Rivera, Savannah Rivera, Eric Silva, Xavier Barnes, Christopher Barnes, Isiah Barnes,  Mystique Cadena, and Angelita Cadena; sisters, Rita Sanchez, and Rose Romero; brother, Juan Romero and wife, Helen; sister in law, Florence Romero, and Stella Romero; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Mrs. Apodaca was preceded in death by her brothers, Tim Romero , and Manuel Romero.   Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Final visitation will be Tuesday May 17, 2016 at  Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8321 Camino San Martin SW from10:00 a.m. until 1030 a.m.  with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  A Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
