Qian "Maggie" Zhang

Qian “Maggie” Zhang tragically passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 surrounded by her husband and parents in her childhood home. Qian was born in Tianjin, China on July 7, 1985 and moved to California when she was 21. Her family eventually moved to Albuquerque, NM where she would meet her husband and start a family. Qian married her husband, Michael Chavez, on September 28, 2019.

Qian worked as a bar tender where she loved making people smile and laugh while serving up cocktails. She loved lazy days at home with her husband and four legged son, Obi. Qian loved going to concerts with her friends, or just having everyone over to watch the fights. She was a loving, fiercely loyal person, putting others' needs above her own. She will always be remembered for making everyone take triple shots! She was an amazing cook, making everything just a little too spicy for most. Qian will be remembered for her uniquely amazing style and her quick, to-the-point way of speaking . She recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Chase, on September, 27, 2020. Qian is also survived by both her parents, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Due to COVID-19 mandates the service is restricted to the immediate family that can remain in the chapel during the service.
