Rachel Herrera

Rachel C. Herrera, age 94, born in Pasamonte, New Mexico, and resident of La Mirada, California passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 with her family by her side.  Mrs. Herrera is survived by her daughter, Sally Olona and husband, Phillip; son, Carlos Herrera and wife, Gloria; grandchildren, Raymond, Angelica, Christopher, Carlitos, Dr. Thomas and wife, Dr. Patricia,  Brian and wife, April; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Aaron, Gerald Jr. Michael, Christopher Jr., Jessabella, Alexis, Danielle, Sophie, Joshua, Anissa, Sofia, Olivia, Steven, Alyssa, Jade; brother and sister-in-law’s; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Mrs. Herrera was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Candido Herrera, her parents, Santiago and Raquel Romero, and son Lorenzo Herrera.   Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 526 Atrisco Dr. SW, with a Rosary to follow at 8:30 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Committal service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Chris Herrera, Carlos Herrera, Raymond Herrera, Xavier Herrera, Aaron Herrera, Gerald Bolte.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Herrera, Dr. Thomas Olona, Brian Olona and Angelica Herrera.
