Reverend Father Ramon F. Aragon, Diocesan Priest, age 92, born in Pena Blanca, NM, formally of Albuquerque, passed away at home in Pena Blanca, Sunday, October 02, 2016. Father Ramon was ordained June 03, 1950 and was stationed in many parishes within the Archdiocese of Santa Fe including, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Albuquerque, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Albuquerque as well as many other parishes though-out New Mexico. Father Ramon is survived by his sister, Clarabelle Padilla; brothers, C. F. Lucero and wife, Teresina, Phil Lucero and wife, Bessie, Isaac Lucero and wife, Bernadette; sister in law, Andrea Lucero; brother in law, Jimmy Aragon Sr.; nephew and caregiver, Jimmy Aragon Jr.; niece and caregiver, Darlene Sandoval and husband, Gabriel; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special friend, Jenaro Pedroncelli and wife, Louella; a special thank you to Cathy Montoya for her kindness and care. Father Ramon was preceded in death by his father, Ramon F. Aragon; mother, Claudia Ortiz-Lucero and step-father, Fermin Lucero Sr.; sisters, Laura Aragon, JoAnn Narvaiz, and Sylvia Lucero; brothers, Wilfred Lucero, and Fermin Lucero Jr. The last eight years of life, Father Ramon returned to Pena Blanca to live with his sister, Laura and brother in law, Jimmy Aragon. He assisted with the Saturday Mass while he was still able. Father Ramon was loved and will be dearly missed by many. Visitation will be Friday, October 07, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Archbishop John Wester, presider. Final visitation will be Saturday, October 08, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Pena Blanca from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 1:00 p.m. by Deacon Jim Delgado. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Pena Blanca, NM. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Aragon Jr., Robert Padilla, Paul Lucero, Patrick Lucero. Martin Sandoval, Eric Lucero, and Matthew Lucero. Honorary pallbearer will be Martin Sandoval Jr.
