Reverend Daniel Farris

Reverend Daniel Lee Farris, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at the age of 80.  Fr. Farris is survived by his three brothers, Tom, Victor and Don.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Farris.   Fr. Farris attended St. Therese Catholic School and then entered Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary Santa Fe and completed his studies in Philosophy and Theology at St. Thomas Seminary in Denver and University of San Diego.  After ordination as a Catholic Priest, he served the parishes of Holy Rosary in Albuquerque, Immaculate Conception in Las Vegas, NM, Holy Ghost in Albuquerque, The Estancia Catholic Parish, Our Lady of Belen and San Martin de Porres in Albuquerque.  Fr. Dan was a kind and gentle man, loved and admired by many.

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave NW at 4th St., with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 30, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave NW at 4th St.  Interment will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
