Richard (Rick) A. Garcia, age 67, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, May 01, 2016 at home with his family at his side. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-eight years, Graciela;  son, Esequiel Garcia; his mother, Rita Maldonado and husband, Lupe; sisters, Barbara Sandwick and husband, Mark, and Geraldine Lovato and husband, Pete; brothers, Joe Garcia and wife, Mary, and Chris Sanchez and Maryann; grandchildren, Domoniqua, and Roberto; uncle, Carmen (Tin) and wife, Tillie; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Rick was preceded in death by his father, Esequiel Garcia; sister, Patsy Romero; and grandparents, Tony Saavedra, and Floriana Salas.   Rick was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era.  Visitation will be Friday, May 06, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be  Chris Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez, Joe Garcia, Lupe Maldonado, Tin Garcia, and Roberto Ruiz.  Honorary pallbearer will be Domoniqua Gutierrez.
