Richard Raymond Romero, age 83 born in Vaughn, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 17, 2024. Richard is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Mary Romero; children, Tiffany Romero, Ricardo Romero, Anastasia Delgado and husband, Michael, Adrian Romero and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Candice, Marcus, Brittney, Andre, Gabriella, Jordan, Timothy, Kirsten, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Matthew, and Penny; sisters, Gloria Tschbold, Barbara Romero, and Liz Romero; brother, Buddy Romero and wife, Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Candelaria Romero, sister, Angie and brother, Jimmy. Mr. Romero served his country proudly in the United States Navy. A Rosary for Mr. Romero will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 619 Copper Ave NE on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the services at the Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe St. 12:30 p.m. where he will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Timothy Roberson, Andre Romero, Marcus Sanchez, Brandon Romero, Matthew Hager, and Gabriella Romero.
