Richard D. Telles, age 64, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, August 04, 2016. Richard is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Flora Telles; daughters, Shannon Telles-Reynolds and husband, Robert, and Antoinette Telles and wife, Annemarie Rader; loving grandchildren, Sydney Telles Reynolds, and Emilio Telles Reynolds; siblings, Marylou Serna and husband, Rumaldo, Laurie Mora and husband, Larry, Connie Tafoya, Martin Tafoya, Veronica Pedroncelli, Anthony Telles and wife, Kathy.  Mr. Telles was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio Telles and Martha Garcia. Richard retired from the City of Albuquerque after thirty-two years of service, where he worked as the Assistant Operations Manager at the Biological Park for twenty-five of those years. Richard will always be a part of ABQ's History as he supervised and built many of the exhibits at the Rio Grande Zoo, Bio Park, the Aquarium, reconstruction of Tingley Beach, the first ever River of Lights, and the Japanese Garden,  which was his last project. Richard was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge and the Zoological Society. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. , Father Frank Prieto, presider. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Gallegos, Victor Mora, Frank Serna, Adrian Armijo, Adam Armijo, and Chris Armijo.
