Robert Zubia Sr., age 79, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away September 30, 2016 at home with his family at his side. Mr. Zubia is survived by his children, Sylvia Francia, and husband, Prudencio, Richard Zubia and wife, Roberta, Joanna Avila and fiance, Pablo, Laverne Zubia, Ken Zubia and fiancee, Michelle,  Matthew Zubia and wife, Anna, Sarah Zubia and fiance, Thomas, Marcus Zubia and Donna, Ellen Montoya, Robert Zubia Jr., and Naomi Zubia; sisters, Tina Montoya, Carmen Chavez, Consuelo Swan and husband, Manuel; brother, Alvino Zubia and wife, Erin; thirty-eight grandchildren; fifty-three great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Mr. Zubia was preceded in death by his wife, Enedina Zubia.  Visitation will be Thursday, October 06, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Grant Christopher, presider.   Interment will be at Pajarito Cemetery, Saturday, October 08, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Robert Ronquillo, Gilfred Francia, Justin Zubia, Richard V. Zubia,  Matthew Zubia Jr., and Brianna Zubia.
