                   SANCHEZ, ROD C., age 89, born, in Gallup, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side Saturday, June 7, 2014 making his final journey to Heaven into eternal life with Jesus. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his children, Roderic J. Sanchez and wife, Rosalie, Arleen A. Sanchez, Mary Jo Torres, Lenore V. Sanchez and companion, Theresa; sister, Aurora Lucero; brother, Julio Sanchez, grandchildren, Roderic E., Rachelle, Rheanna, Robyn, Monica, and Veronica; great grandchildren, Roderic M., Ava, Bradley, Mikayla, Isabella, Alex, Daniel, Savana, Angelica, and Elijah.  Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his wife, Velia Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was a kind, loving Christian man, a member of the Catholic Church, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII.  Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited by Pat Muniz Robert at 7:00 p.m.  Final visitation will be Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8321 Camino San Martin SW, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monsignor Richard Olona, presider.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff at Alliance Home Health Care, with a special thank you to Sabrina.
