Rosalita L. Silva, age 100, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 17, 2016. She was born January 26, 1916 in Pena Blanca, NM to the late Rafael and Marianita Leyba and raised by her grandparents, Ramon and Carlota Silva.   Rosalita later married the late Antonio Silva July, 1937.  She worked as an educator most of her life thought out NM.  Rosalita is a devout Catholic who enjoyed reading her Bible,  prayer books and watching EWTN.  She also enjoyed being with all her family, especially with her great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church  in Pena Blanca.  Mrs. Silva is survived  by son, Archie Silva and wife, Nancy; grandsons, Art (Gino) Silva and wife, Angel, and David Silva; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Silva, and Selena Silva; sisters, Sarah Sanchez, Corine Moore, and Eloisa Leyba; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Silva was preceded in death by brothers, Gerald Leyba, Roy Leyba, and Raymond;  and her sister, Imelda Leyba.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary  to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Art Silva and Hilda Abeyta.  Final visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont St. NE with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Art Silva, David Silva, Danny Abeyta, Philip Villagran, Greg Moore, and  Brian Moore.  Honorary pallbearer will be Sarah Marquez.
