Rose Nestor, age 87, born in Dulce, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at home with her family at her side. Mrs. Nestor is survived by her children, David Nestor and wife, Vicki, Pamela Dodge, and Lori Montoya; grandchidlren, Tammy Montgomery and husband, Ben, Christopher Carrillo and wife, Sara, Matthew Nestor and wife, Kate, Jessica Dillon and husband, Joe, Phillip Carrillo, Jacob Montoya and wife, Cristie, and Heather Stanton and husband, Sean; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Bunnell and husband, Darl;  brother, Frank Lucero; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Mrs. Nestor was preceded in death by her  husband, Durbin O. Nestor; and son, Darl Nestor.  Rose was a beloved Mama, Nana ,  a philosopher of life  and an eternal optimist.  She was a long standing and faithful member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Altar Rosary Society. Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW  from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m. by Patricia Muniz-Roberts; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Interment  of cremains will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
