Rose M. Zamora, 103, born November 18, 1912, a lifelong resident of Old Town, Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Rose is survived by her daughter, Andrea Zamora; sister-in-law, Jessie Montoya, wife of Pano Montoya; two grandchildren, Corey Zamora and wife, Stacy, and Cinnamon Zamora Moss and husband, Scott; three great-grandchildren, Blake Williams, Ashley Moss and Alexis Moss and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends! Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Feliciano (Felix) Zamora; son, Felix (Fil) Zamora; parents, Fidel and Sofronia Montoya; siblings, Fidel Montoya, wife Anita, Flossie Cordova, husband Richard, Aurelio (Lelo) Montoya, Cipriano (Pano) Montoya, Mela Duran, husband, Cleto; and son-in-law, Albert Bynum. Rose spent a lifetime serving her beloved church, San Felipe de Neri, located in historic Old Town. Her love of the Lord and strong faith allowed her to give unselfishly to her church in many capacities. Rose was involved in teaching catechism, and worked diligently to promote the success of the San Felipe de Neri Museum. She was a member of Sacred Heart League, The Blue Army and the Madres Cristianas. Rose was an elementary school teacher for 40 years with APS.  The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Legacy Hospice and the many friends that helped with her care.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 North Plaza in Old Town, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Final visitation will be at San Felipe de Neri church Monday, October 31, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be  Thomas R. Campbell, Corey Zamora, Noel Navarez, Maurice DeRaad, Abie Tabet, and Ben Baca.
