Ruth E. Rivera, age 82, was born April 18, 1933 in Corrumpa, New Mexico to Felix and Rose (Montoya) Rivera, and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, March 16. 2016. Ruth is survived by her sister, Trudy Harter and husband, Richard; eleven nieces and nephews, Harold Rivera, Jo Lynn Rivera, Kay Lynn Rivera, Donna (Rivera) Bustos, James (Jimmy) Rivera, Kerry Anthony Garcia, Cleo Susan Garcia, Donald Allen Garcia, Pamela Jean Franklin, Patrick Anthony Garcia and Bryan S. Piper.  As a young child, she survived Polio and was able to go into the workplace holding numerous jobs in her adulthood, including as a live in nanny for a number of different families with small children in the Albuquerque area. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Rose Rivera; brother, Dan Rivera in 2002; and her sister, Helen (Rivera) Garcia in 2015.  A Graveside Blessing will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00a.m at the Fairview Memorial Cemetery, 700 Yale S.E.
