Sulema Atencio

Sulema Anne Atencio (Duran), age 105, born in Hohn, Colorado and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on January 14, 2022. Mrs. Atencio is survived by her children, Janice Montoya and husband, Ernie, Dale Atencio and wife, Rosemary, Neil Atencio and wife, Sara, Debbie Bachicha and husband, Claudio, Rob Atencio and wife, Patrice; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many other extended family members. Mrs. Atencio was preceded in death by her husband Claude Atencio; son, Jim Atencio; parents, Manfred and Rebecca Duran and many extended family members. Visitation will be on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town with a Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Greg Montoya, Phillip Atencio, Jay Atencio, Isaac Bachicha, Bill Powers, Ronnie Atencio. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Atencio, Chelsea Atencio, Mark Atencio, and Scott Atencio.
