Theresa Valdez

Theresa Valdez (Maes), age 86, born in Wagon Mound, New Mexico in 1931 and resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2018 surround by her loving family.  Theresa is survived by her beloved husband and soulmate, Minder (Octaviano) Valdez; children, Carl Valdez and partner, Peggy, Gloria Valdez, Dolores Sanchez and husband, Jimmy, Joseph Valdez and wife, Kim Fay; brother, Vicente Maes and wife, Angelica; sister, Frances Lopez and husband, Gus; sisters-in-law, Viola Aragon and husband, Joe and Ruby; grandchildren, James Sanchez and wife, Sydney, Amanda Baca and husband, Brian; step-grandchildren, Levi Bookwalter and wife, Savannah, Ginna Perez and husband, Monte; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Levi; step-great-grandchildren, Dustin, Carwyn, Elijah and Abriella.   Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Emelia Maes; brothers, Margarito, Ben, Orlando, Juan, and Eloy and sister, Stella.  Theresa was a proud member of San Martin Catholic Church.  She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren and talking each day to her brother and sister about each of their families.

A visitation will be held, Friday, July 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Santuario de San Martine de Porres Catholic Church, 8321 Camino San Martin SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Sanchez, Brian Baca, Amanda Baca, Sydney Sanchez, Monte Perez and Mike Maes.
