Tomasita H. Chavez, age 97, born in Springerville, AZ and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her children, Della Sisneros, Pete Chavez, David Chavez and wife, JoAnn, Ida Lopez and husband, Andres; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband, Boleslo Chavez; sons, Bonifacio Chavez, and Jeff Chavez. Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur Posey, Brandon Posey, J.D. Paez, Norman Lovato, Lawrence Roybal and Eric Wiltse.
