Veronica Lucero

Veronica Lucero, age 84, a resident of Moriarty, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Lucero is survived by her children, Katie Powers and husband, Ed, Orlando Lucero and Dolores Moreno, Joann Garcia and husband, Johnnie; special daughter-in-law, Joann Lopez and husband, Ray, special niece, Cecelia Martinez; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Lucero; brother, Benny Lucero Sr.; sisters, Victoriana Martinez and Mabel Sanchez. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Shrine of the Little Flower St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 3424 4th Street N.W., with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m.; a final visitation will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., a Communion Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Pallbearers will be Orlando Lucero Jr., Gilbert Sanchez Jr., Alex Lucero, Danny Trujillo, Jeff Powers, and Nicholas Lucero. Honorary pallbearer will be Epie Lucero.
