December 11, 2015 Vicente Otero, age 91, was born in San Fidel, New Mexico and a sixty-seven year resident of Los Lunas, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Vincent is survived by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Inez; his children, Pete Otero and wife, Toni, Helen Raff, Theresa Sanchez and husband, Hector, Dorothy Lovato and husband, Willie, Vincent Otero III and wife, Katie; grandchildren; Laura Cordova, Antoinette Otero, Rochelle Gomez, Tonia Sanchez, Nicole Flannigan, Eric Otero, Marc Lovato, Veronica Montoya, and Lapin Otero; thirty-four great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert and wife, Flora Otero, and Wilfred Otero; sister-in-law Susie Otero; in-laws, Isidoro and Gloria Barela, and Filimon Vigil. Vince was preceded in death by his parents; Tranquilino and Clotilde Otero; brothers, John, Fidel, and Tranquilino (Junior); sisters, Ruth, Marion and Margaret; son-in-law, Theodore (Ted) Raff; grandsons, Victor, and Jeffrey Otero, Hector Sanchez II, and Ricardo Sena; and great-granddaughter, Delilah Otero. Vince was a World War II Army Veteran who proudly served his Country in the Pacific Islands and Korea, Company C 762 Tank Battalion.  He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Vince worked as a meat cutter for the majority of his life. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping and the out-doors. He was a life-long Democrat. His biggest joy was spending time with his children, grand-children, great-grand-children and   great-great-grandchildren. Family was always a very important part of his life, as was his faith and belief in God. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 6:15 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave., Los Lunas, NM with a Vigil Service/Rosary at 7:00 p.m.  Final visitation will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burail to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.  A Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Pallbearers will be Vincent Otero III, Eric Otero, Marc Lovato, Randall Gomez, Nathan Castillo, and Phillip Otero. Honorary pallbearers will be Laura, Antoinette, Rochelle, Nicole, Tonia, and Veronica.
