Vincent Vigil

Vincent “Alex” Vigil, 45, resident of Freedom, WI passed away on August 18, 2018. He was born on January 02, 1973, to Ramona Aragon and the late Bency Vigil in Albuquerque, NM. He attended West Mesa High School (Albuquerque, NM) and St. Norbert College (De Pere, WI). He married Melissa Muller on November 06, 2004 in Green Bay, WI. He worked at Cellcom in De Pere, WI for 13 years in various capacities and ultimately became their Sales Operations Manager.
We gained a new guardian angel today. On earth, Alex prided himself on protecting people and making people feel safe; so I can only imagine what he can do from heaven.
Alex’s charm, confidence, and quick wit won people over instantly while his headstrong nature kept them on their toes. Alex never knew a stranger because once he met someone he considered them a friend. He was a fighter to his core and nothing displayed this more than the last 7 months as he braved Pancreatic Cancer. His childhood spirit remained strong during his 45 years as he couldn’t contain his excitement when it came to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Star Wars, and Christmas. He loved building sand castles, taking family road trips, trick or treating, and playing childish pranks. He wanted to experience everything that life has to offer and was constantly trying new things. He was a brilliant photographer, wood carver, sculptor, and singer. His love of music was immense and diverse. Every part of his life contributed to his ever-growing music playlist. Just like his music, his love for people was immense and diverse. But no one held a place in his heart like his children. They are what drove him to be the best man he could possibly be. He is so loved and so missed and I know beyond doubt that the Force is with him.
He is survived by his wife Melissa Vigil and three children Iris, Bency, and Cesar. Alex is also survived by his siblings Elaine, Bency Jr., Chris, Kathy, Jennifer, Marie, and Adam.
Alex is preceded in death by his father Bency Vigil.  A memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, with a memorial reception to celebrate his life at 1:00 p.m. at, Rotary Park, 700 Rotary Park Rd., Bernalillo, NM 87004
