Vivian Ortega, age 86, born in Costilla, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016. Mrs. Ortega is survived by her children, Gloria Barajas and husband, Pete, Lupe Romero and husband, Richard, Joseph Ortega and wife, Bernadette, Mary Archuleta and Larry, Amado Ortega, Linda Stranich, and Julian Ortega; sisters, Pat Eicholz, and Mary Salazar; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.  at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. by Deacon Andy Chavez; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Whiting, Theresa Perea, David Barajas, Miguel Ortega, Fabian Ortega Jr., and James Taylor.
