Johnny Benavidez

Johnny “No Lunch” Benavidez, age 74, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on December 24, 2020.  Mr. Benavidez is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sophie Benavidez; children, Jennie Duran and husband, Benjamin Duran Jr., Joe Benavidez and wife, Clarissa Gallegos, Angel Benavidez, Ruby Benavidez and husband, Augustine Rodriguez, Destinee Benavidez; twelve grandchildren, Adam Duran and wife, Ashley, Sylvia Jaramillo and husband, Mario, Jodeci  Benavidez, Diona Benavidez, Joey Benavidez, Journee Benavidez, & Princess, Enrique Rodriguez, Sam Rodriguez, Alejandro Rodriguez, Jonathon Lujan, Joshua Lujan; four great-grandchildren, Jaelen Johnson, Isabel Jaramillo, Kanon Duran, Baby Reign Duran; siblings, Orlando Benavidez and wife , Carmen, Edmundo Benavidez and wife, Antonia, Ben Benavidez and wife, Dolores; sister in-law Donna Benavidez; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Mr. Benavidez was preceded in death by his parents, Faustino Benavidez and Carrie Sanchez-Benavidez; brother, Faustino Benavidez Jr. Services for Mr. Benavidez are pending.  Pallbearers will be Joe Benavidez, Adam Duran, Ben Duran, Augustine Rodriguez, Joey Benavidez, Diona Benavidez.  Honorary Pallbearer is Mario Jaramillo. A Walk through viewing and visitation will be from 5:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, January 10, 2020, in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Due to COVID-19 mandates, the rosary is restricted to the immediate family that can remain in the chapel during the Rosary. The family has arranged for everyone to Viturally Gather with them for the Rosary starting at 5:50pm on Sunday, January 10, 2020 Please click link Below. Mass of Christian will be at 9:00am on Monday, January 11, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church, with the burial to follow to Mount Calvary Cemetery.
