Melvin Martinez

Melvin Martinez, age 74, born in Torreon, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 19, 2022. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Patricia Martinez; children, Nadine Schilling and husband, Paul, Josette Chavez, Melvin Martinez Jr. Tara Romero, Bernadine Martinez, Leslie Stanford and husband, Ian, Andrea Sedillo and husband, Joey, Gilbert Martinez, Lori Stuckenschneider; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Baca and husband, Joe, Frances Hill, Emilia Lujan. Melvin was preceded in death by his grandsons, Angelo Martinez, and Ralph Romero. Melvin served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Visitation will be held in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Deacon Mike Wesley presiding. Interment with Military Honors are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with. Pallbearers will be Paul Schilling, Gilbert Martinez, Shane Romero, Victor Vigil Jr., Lawrence Francia, Joey Sedillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Melvin Martinez Jr., Ruben Sanchez, Marcos Stanford, Ian Stanford
