Melba Sanchez

Melba Sanchez (Saracino), age 88, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and resident of Grants, New Mexico, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019.  Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her children, Rhonda Gutierrez and husband, Abel, Victor Sanchez and wife, Mary, Jerry F. Sanchez, Joe Sanchez, Chris Sanchez and wife, Aileen, Sandra Marez and husband, Curtis, Darlene Garduno and husband, Gilbert; sisters, Josie Gutierrez and Nancy Garcia; forty-two grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eduardo I. Sanchez; daughter, Shirley Salcido; sons, Rudy S. Garcia, Patrick L. Sanchez, Randy L. Sanchez, Johnny Sanchez, Leroy Sanchez, Mark A. Sanchez; grandchildren, Tammy Salcedo, Archie Salcedo, Christopher Sanchez and Robert Sanchez.

A visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m.  A final visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 500 E High St, Grants, NM, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Grants Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Marez, Kyle Gutierrez, Sean Gonzalez, Ed Sanchez, Nicholas Halsey and Amadeo Maestas.
